EAGE Student Lectures
EAGE aims to support universities in offering free lectures to students in different formats. Usually, a lecture can be slightly adjusted to the audiences' need and level. The lectures are given by industry professionals and therefore an asset for the student's development in addition to the student's curriculum.
- Cover different geoscience/ engineering related topics and are updated/changed each year
- Focus on the broadening of knowledge
- Give an industry perspective on a certain topic
- Can have the format of a face-to-face lecture (SLT), webinar, or e-lecture.
EAGE Student Lecture Tour (SLT)
Since 2005, EAGE has reached out to the student community with the EAGE Student Lecture Tour (SLT).
The SLT offers EAGE the opportunity to further integrated into the Geo-Science and Engineering communities out in the industry as well as identify to students a support source for their career development.
EAGE collaborates with universities and EAGE student;chapters worldwide to provide half-day;lectures on interesting geoscience or engineering-related topics top;students from different disciplines and levels. The lecturers are industry professionals that travel in a certain region to give the lecture face-to-face.
Besides many offline educational student activities, EAGE also offers (student) E-lectures and these lectures cover a specific or more general geoscience or engineering topic and last for about 10 to 15 minutes.
While many of the e-lectures are presented for a professional audience, we have now also started recording student E-lectures, custom-made for students! You can find all EAGE E-lectures on our YouTube channel.
Allows the lecturer to deliver his/her presentation from home or from the office anywhere in the world!
A live connection interaction is possible on the spot between lecturer and audience. For lectures with a large audience, the lecture might want to decide to have a Q&A session after the lecture. With smaller audiences, it is possible to agree that viewers may interrupt the instructor during the presentation.
