Announcements of the previous competition
The winning team of the FIELD Challenge received a trophy during the Paris 2017 Opening Session, Monday 12 June, in the presence of the top of our geoscience and engineering community. In addition, the FIELD Challenge winners were invited by Total to a privileged visit to Total’s Scientific Headquarters in Pau, France. A prize that could open doors in a students’ career!
The trophy winners had the opportunity for 2–3 days as Total’s VIP guests to discover the business, the high technology facilities, and personally meet Total’s global chief geophysicist and geologist.
The next edition of the FIELD Challenge is not yet launched and therefore there are no current announcements.
The finalist of the FIELD Challenge 2017
On Sunday 11 June, all team presented their fully integrated development and evaluation plan to the jury composed by Clark Roger( Leeds University), Thomas Finkbeiner ( Kaust University), Jardin Anne( IFP School), Peter Loyd (AAPG), Michel Vert, Pierre Olivier , and Arjan Kamp (Total S. A).
The jury nominated first, second and third place.
IFP School, France got the first place, University of Manchester, UK got the second place , and the Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia got the third place
