The winning team of the Laurie Dake Challenge received a trophy during the Copenhagen 2018 Opening ceremony, Monday 11 June, in the presence of the top of our geoscience and engineering community. In addition, the Laurie Dake Challenge winners were invited by Total to a privileged visit to Total’s Scientific Headquarters in Pau, France. A prize that could open doors in a students’ career!
The trophy winners received 2000 Euros Cheque ( first place only)
The opportunity for 2–3 days as Total’s VIP guests to discover the business, the high technology facilities, and personally meet Total’s global chief geophysicist and geologist.
A VIP Invitation for half day to the Total Company offices in Copenhagen. ( all members of the first, second and third place).
The finalist of the Laurie Dake Challenge 2018
On Sunday 10 June, all team presented their fully integrated development and evaluation plan to the jury composed by Roger Clark ( Leeds University), Thomas Finkbeiner ( KAUST University), Jardin Anne( IFP School), Pierre Olivier, Philippe Montagnier , and Arjan Kamp (Total S. A), Claudia Steiner-Luckabauer , Karine Labat (IFP School), Stuart Gordon Archer and Rob Ings (Total S.A, Copenhagen), Giancarlo Bernasconi (Politecnico di Milano)
The jury nominated first, second and third place.
Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada got the first place, IFP School, France; got the second place , and the and Dalhousie University, Canada got the third place
